Evaluating Foundation Production Continued

• I have learnt many things from my production last year, firstly I have learnt that research into your area is critical, last year I did lots of research but I feel now that my research will be much more detailed and therefore better. This year I plan on watching lots of music videos and writing analysis for them. 
• Designing storyboards took lots of time last year and I think that this year we will start much earlier. Last year I realized that your storyboard changes as you do more and more research, and people get more ideas. So I think that this year we should draw shots on to post-it notes so we can be flexible if we need to alter it. 
• Again when it comes to planning the shoot lots of time is essential, last year I learnt that your schedule might have to change due to weather, or illness. I think that being prepared for that is important. Costume was something that I felt could have been better organized in our production.
• I want to spend more time thinking about that especially as in music videos costume can be essential for the creation and identity of the artist. I would also like to spend a lot of time on organizing the mis en scene, as this can make the music video look a lot more professional. 
• Some of the ideas I have include shooting outside, lighting is very important for clarity and editing later, so would have to find a way to have lights outside if we wanted to film outside.
•  I ve learnt there is a lot of class work, so this year I will be more prepared for that and be able to keep on top of it better, blogging and homework I now have a better idea on, and will hopefully be doing more multimedia things on my blog throughout the course so I can hopefully achieve the A grade I want. 
• Last year my group and I had a few issues with filming, I found that the workload could easily become less managed and that some people would have more workload than others, my group this year will have a schedule hopefully, with what needs to be done and when people can do it. There was also a lot of issues last year with hardware and uploading, last year we had the macs stolen and found that a lot of our footage got corrupted or went missing as we were editing, we have learnt what not to do this time, and will definitely be keeping spare copies of whatever we do.

• Last year I realized that a lot of the evaluation questions could have been prepared along the way, this is something I will be trying to do this year, so the workload towards the end of year is as manageable, this extra time will also hopefully mean my work quality will be a lot better. This year I also have experience with  the different media that will be required for my evaluation, I still hope to find and use new ones though.
